Ohhhhh My last day was lovely.
This morning I went to the dentist and had a quick final checkup. Then, back home, out again to collect a bajillion prescriptions from the pharmacy.
Then onto the bus to work.
They took me out to lunch at Medusa's which is a really lovely Greek restaurant quite close to work. Everyone shared entrees of pickled vegetables, olives, haloumi cheese, spicy sausages and pita bread with tzatziki dip, and then chose their own mains. I had lamb souvlaki. Delicious:
Then when we got back, we had a coffee and cake!
I also got these really cute pictures of me and willum. I was feeding him raisins. And, haha, you can see I dressed in the Italian colours for my last day at work!
What else? tomorrow is my big waxing day and my farewell with friends. I'm so exhausted at the moment, I have a feeling I'm coming down with the flu! it totally sucks, I really cannot afford to get sick at this point, so I'm totally going all out with the ecchinacea and immune boost tablets. Anyway! I'm off to bed!
Ciao voxies!
Soooo today we took Willum down to the breeder, who lives in Thirlmere. Last time I was really overwhelmed with how many beautiful bunnies she had, and that they were all so friendly and outgoing. This time I was determined to get some pictures. She had a lot more babies this time than last time, and they were just beautiful. Here are some shots:
The grey bunny in the picture below is actually only 3 weeks old, so she's younger than the black - she's a big girl for her age!
I put my hand in the shot so you could see how unbelievably teeny these rabbit kittens were, but they're quite hard to see - here's a better picture where you can distinguish an ear and a nose or two!:
Willum was so well behaved! He's such a good boy. Afterward we had lunch at the George IV pub, which is in the historic town of picton, maybe 10 minutes drive or so from Thirlmere. It was built in 1839 which is super old for Australia, and they had epic chicken schnitzel with veggies, chips and gravy. Willum sat in his cage on the bench next to us and was admired by all the patrons who thought he was too cute for words.
Here are some pictures from the Pub where we had lunch:
I got so much done this weekend, but none of it was uni work. I guess that's okay, I still have time to work on stuff. For now that is!
I actually woke up at 5:30 am and was unable to get back to sleep, so I changed my sheets, and then around 9 am went for the standard 3.8km walk in the park with mum. Afterward I went to breakfast with Anna at the Tea Gardens in Watson's bay, and then we went shopping in Bondi. I ended up getting a cute pink ribbon hairband, it was on sale for $3 which I thought was a total bargain, but when I got to the counter, it was actually only $1.50!
I also scored a totally plain, boring, decent quality cardigan from SES, for only $6.95. The quality of their cardigans went down for a while, they were really stretchy, and the sleeves were way too long, but this one is like the beige one I have, it's perfect to take to italy. My plan is to take a beige/brown skirt, beige cardi, beige flats and brown/beige heels, as well as a black skirt, black cardi, black heels and flats - as well as a stack of business shirts and a few dresses. Tada. Instant work wardrobe! Anyway. You'd be surprised at how hard finding the perfect, plain, black, non-sleazy, non decorated cardigan actually is! so I'm thrilled, haha!
I'm trying to cut down the # of shoes I'll take to the minimum, but it's friggen hard. When I get there it'll be summer, but when I leave, it'll be winter! I'd have to be a genius to pack 6 months worth of clothes into airline size requirements.
Anyway. Dinner with Celia tonight! just before I go, a quick wardrobe watch:
short sleeved cream coat: Dotti
Pink and white jumper: Tommy Hilfiger
Denim skirt: jay jay's
white boots: max's shoes maybe?
hair ribbon: equip
I swear, I have had a crazy few days! So yesterday, I was making myself a coffee, with my favourite imported-from-the US-valentines-day-pink-and-red-heart-design-rubber-soled-starbucks-mug when all of a sudden... my coffee machine just EXPLODED! I have no idea what happened, maybe the coffee handle bit wasn't correctly inserted and the pressure built up and shot it out, but it was insane. My coffee mug smashed all over the floor, coffee and water sprayed down the cupboards... boiling hot water and coffee grains burning my arm, and I just stood there in shock!
my sister and my mum cleared it all up while I wandered around the house, shaking like a leaf and sobbing and feeling sad about my FAVOURITE imported-from-the US-valentines-day-pink-and-red-heart-design-rubber-soled-starbucks-mug
Anyway, so that totally sucked, so mum and i were like, FINE, we'll go up to Rando and get some coffee and buy her a sim card for her new phone. And then W called and asked if I'd like to go bowling, so we went bowling at the new bowling place in darling harbour, where he beat me by an embarrassing margine, and then afterward we sat in the sun with starbucks. It was really nice! He drove me home around 6:30pm ish, and this morning he's off to Melbourne to go to some music festival thing over NYE.
Today I went shopping since most of the shops that didn't sell food were closed yesterday... we went to factorie, and look what I got!
anyway, that's it for me for now!
Phew!
I'm glad to be back :)
I've been doing a bit of shopping - both christmas presents and self-presents. I already told you guys about the dress for the wedding, so here it is:
And remind me not to laugh at certain things until I remember (or am shown) what they're really like! Oops! there are varying levels of hardness! [yes, I know that won't make sense to anyone but me!]
Tomorrow is the work christmas party, so I should probably go see which novelty christmas earrings I can borrow from mum!
xox
Today was Melbourne cup day.I wore my new dress and my fascinator to work, along with the pair of heels I bought with Jasmine yesterday.
I put some bets on the race, but I didn't win anything that I'd chosen. My dad entered me into his office sweep though, and I won that! so I ended up pretty much breaking even which was nice.
Wardrobe Watch:
Other than that, I really really want to try the Bloom Mineral cosmetics line, but I've heard absolutely nothing about it. I couldn't find any reviews about it either. Here it is -
I registered properly for myer one so I should be getting my next $20.00 gift voucher from them! and, on the valued opinions website I have $50.00 odd dollars to turn into rewards! so yay! free shopping trip for rosie!
