Yay! Christmas!
lol, funniest thing ever, so I went out to the Greystanes Inn last night to meet up with W, and we had a lovely time, leaving at around 10:00 ish. Turns out, an hour or so after we left, there was a huge brawl! check out the news story:

Twelve police cars were on the scene at Merrylands Road, along with Polair and the police dog squad.
It is believed no one was injured during the brawl and staff voluntarily shut the pub.
Inquiries are continuing into how the fight started but police said no arrests were made.

I'm never going to live this one down
Now, on to christmas! I hope everyone had a wonderful day, mine was lovely, just relaxing and fun. Here was the haul:
From M+D:
jim jams (the winter ones are from my grandma actually)
map of rome and rome guidebook (lol)
red tshirt
tiffany necklace
these hilarious underpants - the ones with the bows on are cute, and
then that denim pair are patterned to look exactly like short shorts -
I thought they'd look totally fake on, but really, they look EXACTLY
LIKE DENIM! disturbing!
italian cookbook
aaand
a facemask
from my sister:
2 mac shadows - honey lust and beauty marked
pink singlet top
OPI colour - Mimosas for Mr and Mrs (I ADORE this colour and the name especially!)
My friends and I are exchanging gifts next week
(seriously though, how creepy are those underpants!)
OMG. Woah. I have had a hell of a crazy week! let me tell you aaaall about it!
So. Where were we up to? Oh yeah. No photos of my novelty earrings.... but I did get a shot of all the presents I brought home from work today!
Then my boss gave me some things that she bought in Cambodia & vietnam - that gorgeous scarf you can see there, it's beautiful! and, that black bag with the lucky coins attached to it... aaand a voucher to use at a hair place (I wanted to get my hair done in the new year anyway, so I was excited!)
And we also got a present from our company - a hamper! this is what it had inside: some fruit jellies, some salted peanuts, a little tiny christmas pudding, a box of chocolates, a mini bottle of wine, some of those traditional ginger biscuits that Alison loves and a miniature xmas cake! so cute!
As well as that, at the Christmas party, we had to buy a $10.00 gift. I got a vanilla scented candle (which smells really good actually! I'm burning it right now!) and some chocolates.
So all in all, I got away with some really nice gifts!
So that was all at the christmas party! and then afterward I went out with Matalena, Rosie, and Rosie's friend from PNG. I got home around 1:30 after going home on the BUS! I've never been home that late by myself. It was one of the last buses going, and SO many people got pulled off it for not paying the right amount!
Anyway. So I was hungover and tired on saturday, and I thought, great. I have to do this aaaaall again tonight. So I drove out to Charlie's house, and alison was supposed to already be there. But she was getting a lift with Lisa and Rob, and Rob was late, so they were stuck at Lisa's house waiting for him.
So Charlie and I chatted to his mum for a bit and then went and picked up Kari and his brother on our way to the Albion in Parramatta.
And in the car, they asked if I was single, and then argued about who had hotter friends and which I'd pick, and I was like, uhhh... do I get a choice?
So when we arrived there are a huge heap of guys that they've been chatting about in the car, everyone is pretty much well over 5 foot 7, so at least a few inches on my 5 foot 5, men only, talking about cricket. Greaaat. I had no idea what was going on.
And then Alison and Lisa arrive, and they are normally taller than me anyway, but because I cut my feet to ribbons on friday night, I was wearing flats, and they're both wearing killer heels, so I'm looking tiny compared to them. And it was sooo loud in this place that everyone had to bend down to hear me, which made me feel like a child, haha!
One of Kari's friends was like 6 foot 4! so I'm trying to talk to him, and I had to full launch myself onto my tiptoes and grip his arm so I could reach, since you really had to scream into each other's ears to be heard.
We all had a lot to drink. We got back to Charlie's at around 2:30am I think? god I am feeling sick just thinking about it. Woke up the next day, and realised that I didn't have my wallet. Great.
So, we rang the place, called Charlie's friends who'd given us a lift home etc etc...
no luck.
Then yesterday night, after dinner with the girls, sobbing about how I had $150 in cash in that wallet and OMG what about my personalised starbucks card....
Celia was driving us all over to Jasmine's bf's house to drop her off, and video ezy called. I very rarely answer a call if I don't recognise the number but I thought it just might be someone else. So I'm thinking, I don't have any videos out?
AND!!! they were calling to say that the people from the Albion got their number from my video store card! THEY HAD MY WALLET!! I called the guy an angel and he laughed, and then I called the albion and also called the guy on the phone there an angel, and he called me the luckiest woman in sydney, (although secretly I think just the stupidest!)
so this morning I drove all the way out to Parramatta and picked it up. AND! It had the $150 inside! whoever handed it in or found it has got to be OMG super honest. I know they probably won't ever read this... BUT OMG THANKYOU!!!!
(phew this is long! almost done!) so yeah. Then work today, brought all those presents home. And! I have a date tomorrow. I will see how things go and if they work out I will spill the proverbial beans :D wish me luck!
buonanotte voxies!
I got an HD!!!! (high distinction). I'm so stoked! now I can really enjoy Christmas!
and speaking of Christmas, check out these pretty flowers one of our business associates sent us at work!
I'll let you know how the Xmas party goes! and take photos of my novelty earrings!
xox
Phew!
I'm glad to be back :)
I've been doing a bit of shopping - both christmas presents and self-presents. I already told you guys about the dress for the wedding, so here it is:
And remind me not to laugh at certain things until I remember (or am shown) what they're really like! Oops! there are varying levels of hardness! [yes, I know that won't make sense to anyone but me!]
Tomorrow is the work christmas party, so I should probably go see which novelty christmas earrings I can borrow from mum!
xox
Yay! I'm back! I had to download firefox to get vox to work on my desktop computer, so random and frustrating, but at least I can post again :D
I'm enjoying my new camera, it's so pretty!
Alison and I met up today to 'exchange' christmas gifts - every year (for the last few years) we just go shopping together and pick out things that we like, up to a certain amount! it works out really well since we both get exactly what we want!
I got her Kit Cosmetics Fresh Pear, Crisp Apple and vanilla body lotion, and she got me MAC fluidlines in Dip Down (pretty brown colour) which I've been raving on and on about for a while, so she bought it for me.
We couldn't think of anything else to get each other, so we're going to have our toes and fingernails painted tomorrow morning together!
I also put a deposit down on a dress for that wedding I'm going to in January... my boss's boss's ex wife's brother's wedding (phew!) which should be fun! they are having 3 events in 3 different countries and their theme is red, white and blue which matches the flags of each country that is having an event. My boss already bought a blue dress, and my workmate saw a nice red one, so that left me with white, so my dress is a pinky oystery cream. I'll post a picture of it tomorrow after I've picked it up. Funnily enough, the style name is 'Seven Deadly Sins' - seems appropriate for me!
I'm still trying to play old DOS games on my comp... I got it working on my laptop but then it came up saying there was some kind of virus on there, so I'm not sure. I might end up giving up!
Anything else? I saw twilight again on sunday with Celia, haha, we're obsessed. I really couldn't decide if I loved it or hated it. I don't think most of the changes from book to movie were necessary or added anything to the story, but I'm still going to buy it on dvd (when it comes out, like a year from now!) and, I would even be up for seeing it again. It was really enjoyable! I think one of the best parts for me was how real the chemistry between the two main characters was.
I'm glad to have my vox access back :)
UGH!!!
Where do I start!!!!
well, yesterday we had that special surprise dinner for Alison.... I didn't get to upload the pics I got on my way! The Rocks is one of the older areas of Sydney, and I thought the Christmas decorations were so pretty!
AND THEN!!!!
Tonight, Celia and I saw twilight after 'dinner' at max brenner... (read: banana bread, melted chocolate and strawberries)!!!! (!!!!)
lol.
CHECK OUT THIS SIGN!!! Twi-light. Hmm!
anyway!!! OMG my FAVOURITE part was at the end. [with her neck]. Not to spoil anything, haha!
I have to say, a good portion of the movie made me giggle, not because it was funny, but just because it was hard to take seriously. I have to say though, I enjoyed every minute of Bellward (Edlla?) screen time! they really did have amazing chemistry.
BUT!!! sadly, the most memorable part of the evening was when I accidentally lost our parking ticket and was freaking out thinking we would be stuck in the parking lot, or that we'd have to pay like $80 for a lost ticket!! But when I pressed the intercom button at the exit gate, the man said he'd let me out without a charge. What a sweetie. PHEW! I felt like such a FOOL!
Actually, that was the most memorable part until I turned around a minute ago and saw Willum's head sticking out from underneath the bed. My bed is like, max 2 inches off the floor, and I was sure that he was STUCK under there. I'm not strong enough to hold the bed up with one hand while I help him out so I was like, wtf, what am I going to do! but he finally squeezed his way out himself. I think he's getting too big to fit under there! hopefully he won't get stuck again! and I got a cramp in my leg when I was trying to lift the bed! fool animal!
This weekend I had two things I wanted to accomplish:
Thing Number One:
I wanted to finish the last 300 words of my last essay of the year. I have until next monday to complete this, but next weekend I'm holding that dinner party, so I won't have time to complete it.
Thing Number Two:
I wanted to tidy my bedroom ready for next week.
Of those two things, I did not finish EITHER of them! what happened!
Firstly, on saturday I did do a lot of tidying, but there is more yet to be completed before it's even remotely presentable. A lot will need to be done closer to the time like vaccuuming, changing the sheets etc. We also went shopping for a new phone since our house phone died... and I gave Willum a bath since it was SO HOT. Like, 35°C hot!
I got some photos of him, he looks so cute when he's all wet. It was actually really hard to clean him since whenever I thought I'd got right through to his skin I realised that I hadn't. Their fur is VERY thick and fluffy so it's hard to soak them right through.
Here he is pre-bath, lying on the floor with my sock monkey slippers:
And here he is post-bath, trying to arrange his fur:
As you can see, it took some savage rearranging on his part! Now here is my upcoming week, and I'm trying to think how I will cram everything in:
Monday - I need to finish editing my essay. It's my boss' first day back at work since her 3 week holiday, so there will be probably lots of things to correct and fix up too. I also need to call the italian consulate and ask them some things.
Tuesday - I need to to all my room tidying and stuff for friday! eek!Wednesday - surprise dinner for A in the city!
Thursday - TWILIGHT with Celia!
Friday - Dinner party!
So somewhere in there, I need to tidy my desk and my room, make a frozen dessert with enough time to set for friday night, finish my essay and hand it in, return all my library books and then yay! I should be done with everything stressful!
I have a few christmas things left to buy also, but otherwise I'm pretty well organised. The FOLLOWING week is going to be even more of a drama. We have my work office christmas party, as well as our office dinner. The christmas party will be me pouring drinks and eating a lot and being nice. The dinner is an expensive one at wildfire. I'm just hoping I can find something I like on the menu!
Later voxies!
today was the starbucks cheer party, and the first one I'd ever been to! the last few years I've been working in the city until 7 or 8 pm, which meant I arrived at work before it started, and left after it ended!
but this year, working til 5:30, I was very excited to finally get to go! their store manager was dressed up as santa, and they took my picture for their 'cheer wall' as I called it, haha! I asked for a copy since it was an instant camera, and the result is totally psychadelic!
One thing rather irritated me though! I went in, and they were selling raffle tickets for $2.00, with all proceeds going to the salvation army. The winner got a huge gift basket with starbucks items and body shop products and goodness knows what else. ANYWAY. At the cheer party, drinks are free between 5 to 7. The man behind me did not know this, so he was prepared to spend his $5.00 (roughly), but the barista explained that it was free. She then asked if he'd like to purchase a raffle ticket, and he said NO!
I was like, what the hell? you're getting a FREE drink, if you buy the ticket, you're supporting a charity, still saving $3.00 on what you would have normally spent, you MIGHT get a huge hamper.... what on earth is wrong with you? it was like... I don't know. Taking advantage of the cheer! it's jut wrong!
I almost told him to get his damn wallet out and buy a goddamn ticket, but I didn't. (Grumble!)
This morning, before work and the cheer party, I went shopping with mum at the witchery store. If you sign up online at the moment, you get a 20% discount voucher, on TOP of sale prices, so I thought that was a bargain!
I bought the ginger tote (leather) for $169.95 with 20% off that, and also this gorgeous turquoise silk top which was down to $49.95, also discounted by 20%!
Here are some pictures:
I'll probably wear it like this soon. Not sure whether to save it for the work xmas party or not. Probably not, I can't wait to wear it, haha!
If I had unlimited money... Here is my ultimate christmas list!

Oroton Belt - $95.00AU
Oroton Scarf - $75.00AU
a Luxury Leather travel wallet maybe like one of these smythson leather ones:

from £270.00 for the personalized version (jesus H C! that's outrageous!)

This MSI wind notebook (it's tiny! Like smaller than an A4 page!) - I'm actually going to buy this sometime next year. Too cute to resist!
I think that's all I can think of right now. I'm getting some gorgeous things for christmas, and honestly, I'm not disappointed at all that I'm not going to get a huge load of expensive things, but it's nice to dream about them, and lust after them, just like it's nice to do that about celebrites. And anyway, I will hopefully have a long and happy life in which I can buy these for myself!
I thought it was about time to update my design with something more Christmassy, so I updated my banner with this:
(I figured I should have it as an image so that when this is archived and I change my banner, this post still makes sense, lol)
Also, a friend had this on her profile page on a website I visit and it's been stuck in my head ever since - One-T and Cool-T Magic Key
