I have been so busy lately.
Last friday I met up with Alison in the morning, we had our fingers painted in David Jones - I got mine painted in a colour called 'My Daddy's the King'. Then we had lunch in Dymocks book store and chatted. I also bought a new phone:
the Samsung G800. It has this pretty awesome camera in it, which makes it kind of chunky, but I really like it. Still getting used to it - I've had samsungs before, but you know - you get used to whatever brand you're using and it's hard to go back.
What else?
Friday night I went to W's house and we watched transformers and ate pizza and I got to try his homebrew, which was really really good! it was quite subtle, and a little bit more malty/caramelly tasting, which is something I like in a beer.
Anyway, also met his parents, and his sister's dog, who they are dog-sitting while she's overseas. They were all really lovely, which was nice, after my past parent experiences (see ex #3, ex #5 etc, haha!) I got home at around 4:30am, so I was naturally exhausted.
Saturday I met Anna for brunch, we went to randwick and that was really nice since we missed breakfast last week when she was in Melbourne. Then she came with me to the hairdresser and helped me decide on a style for the wedding. I'd spoken to the woman that did my hair before, her name's Penny and she was awesome. I got her to curl it all with a side part, and then she put some of the front up and we put a rose in. This was all for the wedding that I went to on Saturday night, the boss' boss' ex wife's brother's wedding.
It was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art, which overlooks the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. They had their ceremony on the terrace with that as a backdrop. Can you imagine? it was gorgeous. The food was amazing as well, although I was sitting with a whole group of strangers, which was less fun. They were very chatty though, so I had a good time! I think I would have had more fun if I'd had a partner - all the songs were very 'coupley' so I ended up leaving at around 10:30 or 11:00pm before some random wedding guest (like some old uncle or something) was all 'can't have a girl sitting on the sidelines! I'll dance with you!' or some such thing... anyway, haha, I had a really nice time!
Then sunday morning, got up and had a bit of a tidying frenzy, then I had to get ready for W to arrive. He met willum and the rents (and made a good impression too!) and then we left for Jasmine's 23rd birthday.
It was held at the White Horse in Surrey Hills, and the food was amazing, the cocktails were lovely and the weather was just perfect. We had a really good time and it wasn't even that expensive! I was impressed! Afterward, W and I went for a drink with Jaz and Andrew at the clock hotel, and then W drove them back to Andrew's house. We ended up going out for dinner in the spot, we had this really yummy salad - kind of like a Caesar salad - croutons, similar dressing, chicken, bacon, lettuce, onion, capsicum, but also avocado (my favourite, yum!) and such. And since W doesn't like avo, I got to eat it all myself (yay!)
Anyway, he left fairly late and I felt quite bad, since he had to get up pretty early for work today. I wasn't able to get to sleep straight away actually, so I'm really tired today - I need another weekend to recover from this one!
and it doesn't stop there, Uni enrollments opened today, and of course skankface uni advisor hasn't let me know whether or not I can get credit for that italian subject, but I don't want to miss out on a place. Other than that, there really isn't much I can choose from, since not only is there hardly anything offered to begin with, I've already done more than half of the subjects as undergraduate units, and you can't redo them as post grad! so I'm really limited in my choices, which is why I asked about italian in the first place! grumble!
Then next weekend is lawn bowls and hopefully W can come to that after the party he's going to out in his area, my sister really wants to meet him, although if he can't make it there will presumably be plenty of other opportunities for me to introduce them.
So.. yeah. That's about it for me at the moment, but I just feel so tired and not to mention super busy!
I'll try to add photos and such to this post a bit later :)
