I'm trying to set up my phone so that I can blog on the go. Exciting stuff!
But even more exciting was yesterday. After another eye appointment to try and figure out why they're so incredibly itchy, I drove out to Macquarie to pick up my travel grant, and while I was there I saw this adorable sign - it's a special drop off and pick up spot opposite the shopping centre and close to the uni:
Now that I'm almost finished my degree, I'll never get a chance to Kiss and Ride!
Afterwards drove to Penrith Westfield to meet Bec from MUT. It's pretty exciting meeting someone from online, especially when you feel that you know them pretty well - there's always the possibility that in person they just won't be at all like they're online self, but B was exactly like she is online. I had such a good time, she bought me a gorgeous birthday present:
A book to read on the plane - Eat Pray, Love (which I have been meaning to read and almost bought with one of my book voucher) - I'm going to save it for the flight, although I'm itching to start it.
She bought me a box of LE Lindt Chocolates - dark choc with rasperry. Delicious. Also, a pink beret, a magic makeup removing mitt from Jane Iredale, and a day palette from JI as well - the shadow colours in it are oyster, almond, cappucchino, dark suede and charcoal. I tried it today and it was lovely - really finely pigmented and silky.
We chatted and had lunch, she brought an adorable little mudcake from Michel's and put a candle in it! We wandered around the shops and ended up buying a bag each - I'll post a picture a bit later when I take one.
Not sure why I'm grinning in that odd way, LOL. Anyway.
Here is the beret - I put a cute snowflake pin on it, totally 'Baby Sitter's Club' style. I was reading some hilarious blogs that talk about what the characters from the BSC book series were wearing - since the books were published in the late 80s and 90s there are some pretty trippy outfits in there, and they were always wearing berets with pins on them - probably pins they'd made themselves - that's the kind of girls they were (I'm having a private lol here)
