Mini Burgers and Orotons
Okay, you know when it feels like everything is conspiring against you? I had literally 15 minutes before i started work, and I walked through David Jones department store. It just so happened that on my path through the shop, that I passed the sunglasses section, and upon CASUALLY peering into the oroton case, I noticed that they were having a massive sale. Even cheaper than the Oroton store! SHOCK!
I tried on a pair called Afrique, down to $97.00 from $195.00, and they were almost exactly the same as the St. Lucia pair I was unable to justify purchasing at $215. Of course, I was sensible, I went away and considered it...
and then after work I went straight back, compared them again, and purchased the cheaper pair:
I still think I prefer the St. Lucia pair, but honestly, over $100 extra, and they looked almost exactly the same, so I'm happy with the Afriques. They were a bargain too!
Anyway, afterward I met Florence, who was in my year at highschool, and who used to work with me at the Garden Center back in 2004. We went to 'Bite Me' Burger bar at the casino that another old high school friend recommended! they had the most adoooorable mini burgers!
We shared 2 mini burgers each, as well as onion rings and chips. I got the jack daniels burger (Grain-fed beef, iceberg lettuce, tomato, bacon & onions with Monterey Jack cheese & a rich, spicy Jack Daniels sauce) and the classic cheese burger (Grain-fed beef with Monterey Jack (American cheese), tomato sauce & pickle), she got the chicken burger, and the mini hot dog.
afterwards we had cocktails - I felt compelled to have a Bella Roma (muddled lychee, limoncello, campari)
then we walked to circular quay to the dendy cinema, to see if we could go and see Coco Avant Chanel, but we'd missed the last session, so we arranged to see it next week instead.
Anyway, tomorrow I have to collect a book from Broadway, and go through all my travel arrangements and see if everything is sorted!
ciao voxies!
