Last Day of Freedom
Today was the last day of my holidays and tomorrow I'm back to work, so I decided to actually get out there and do something. First, I went for a run this morning, then I walked to the spot, bought some trashy mills and boon romance books from the second hand book store, and went down to Coogee beach. Isn't it funny, how you might walk past something every day, and then just one time, you look at it, and you notice something you've never ever seen before?
I was opposite the acquarium shop, and I noticed a man up on the roof, which until now, I had not noticed was in fact a rooftop garden! he was there, watering his plants in this little plastic greenhouse thing, and I only saw him since he wasn't wearing a shirt, and he was such a contrast to the dark bricks of the building. But, seriously, I walk past that house/shop thing EVERY DAY on my way to work. How long has that garden been up there?! CRAZY!
anyway. I walked down to the beach and lay in the sun for a while with my trashy books... it was really nice except that I obviously wasn't as thorough with the suncream as I thought I was. My belly button area is all red and burnt! and you can tell I didn't want to get the cream on my bikini, I have a red line showing that I left about 1cm as a border, haha!
Then mum and dad rang and asked if I wanted to come into the city with them for a walk in the botanical gardens, and I said yes, so they came to pick me up on their way. I scored a bottle of lipton iced tea from a van that was giving out free samples (white tea and raspberry I think. Second time I've tried it - really grows on you!) and then they arrived.
We went for a bit of a walk around the Botanical gardens, had coffee on the grass near the cafe and stuff, then walked back to the car.
It was a good end of holidays. But tomorrow is back to work :( On the plus side, it's jasmine's birthday on tuesday and her present is organised! yay! and! I'm having a specialist bra fitting on wednesday morning, woohoo! and! on wednesday night I'm seeing W. So, yeah. Not all bad news!!
